Robinson Khoury is a young eclectic trombonist & composer. After a course in Lyon in Regional Conservatories then Superiors (Master mention very well unanimously with a special mention for the diversity of styles offered in May 2016), it is in Jazz that he will make himself known by winning several competitions. international solo (ITA 2012, La Défense 2014, Riga Jazz Stage 2016) and in groups (with his quartet Uptake at Jazz à Vienne 2014 or with Thibault Gomez 5tet at Tremplon d'Avignon 2015 and in Amsterdam for the “Keep an Eye Jazz Awards ”in 2018). Robinson released several albums in 2019 with his groups Octotrip, Sarāb, then under his name in December. His Frame Of Mind album earned him some fine distinctions, notably 3 Télérama keys and then a CHOC Jazz Magazine. The album launch concert at New Morning, Paris on February 19, 2020 was a great success and will be praised by the press. Currently a soloist with the prestigious Metropole Orkest (Netherlands), the trombonist also multiplies his collaborations with Le Sacre du Tympan by Fred Pallem, Umlaut Big Band, Natacha Atlas, Ibrahim Maalouf and the Quincy Jones orchestra.
